Author Notes

This is inspired by a cocktail I had at Gigis' Trattoria in Rhinebeck, NY. It's deliciously refreshing - awesome for drinking outside! - apartmentcooker —Erin Jeanne McDowell

Test Kitchen Notes

Mint, lime juice, gin and bubbles. There is little more that I want in a grown-up summer cocktail. The mint complements the herbal qualities in the gin and the Prosecco lightens the drink, making it go down really easily. - Emily —The Editors

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • Juice of one lime
  • 4 to 6 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 shot gin
  • Prosecco
Directions
  1. Muddle the lime, mint, and sugar together. Transfer to a cocktail shaker with ice and the gin. Shake until chilled.
  2. Pour into a chilled glass and finish with prosecco.

I always have three kinds of hot sauce in my purse. I have a soft spot for making people their favorite dessert, especially if it's wrapped in a pastry crust. My newest cookbook, Savory Baking, came out in Fall of 2022 - is full of recipes to translate a love of baking into recipes for breakfast, dinner, and everything in between!

Wasn't a big hit. Four of us and no one was really wow about it and one was a definite no. Not sure why as I like all the components...

Delicious cocktail that comes together so easily! I used a local PA gin that had notes of citrus/herbs which paired perfectly.

Can you share where the glass in the photography can be found? I'm searching for some coupe glasses.

I made this for a full bottle of prosecco. I used 6x the amount of mint/sugar/lime/gin. It turned our pretty well, but I would probably cut down on the sugar a bit.
